More about my life

My life Updates

Hello…

It has been a while since I last posted something on this site.  I am really not proud of it, because I started this blog to channeled my “busy mind” and turn it into something creative.  Even though I  love writing, apparently, I don’t have the discipline to do it.

There are tons of excuses for why I haven’t written anything in the last 10 months.  Honestly, it all sounds lame.  it’s simply laziness and lack of discipline on my part.

It started when I was away for the Christmas holiday.  There were times when I really wished that I had my laptop with me so I can write down the things that I wanted to write that time.  I promised my self that I would write again once I got back from holiday, and even wrote it down on my new year’s resolution.

But when the Xmas holiday ended, I was busy with a new job, a new member of the family and those lame excuses continues on and on until today.  Ten (long) months since my last post.  After a while, the idea of writing something just became daunting and unattractive.  There were many things happening in my life, and it was just too much to write all about it.  And I must write about it otherwise how will you connect with what my writing after my MIA?  So, again I “found” an excuse to not write a post.

But it ends today.  I have to start somewhere.  So, without further ado here we go…

I will start this post by telling you what has been going on for the last 10 months of my life :

We have a new member of our family!!!

If you read some of my other posts you might have known how much I wanted a dog.  In the beginning, my husband was reluctant to have a dog.  But after months of convincing him, he finally agreed to it.  I will (probably) write about our adoption Journey on a separate post.  So here I am just telling you some facts about our new pup.  His name is Taro Blessing.  We got him when he was 9 months old but now he is 13 months old.  He is a scared, timid, and super skittish dog but we love him so much.  I will definitely write more about him in another post, but here some of his pictures.

I found myself “a Dream Job”!

Well, it’s nothing fancy or anything but it is probably the most satisfying job I’ve had in my life.  I am a Freelance Pet Sitter!  I didn’t even know that it was possible.   But then I found this amazing app called Pawshake, and I registered my self as a pet sitter.  I did it just before we went to Italy for the Christmas Holiday with very little expectation.  Who would have trust a pet sitter with zero experience except that she was growing up with a dog (duh!).

I remember the day I received a message about someone who needs someone to walk her dog daily.  I, my sister in law and my husband were strolling around the shops in San Mauro, Turin.   Only a couple days after the new year and it was a cold day.  I read the message, and I couldn’t believe my eyes.  Long story short, I went back to Singapore and arrange a meetup.  Since then I am officially a dog sitter 🙂

My First and most beloved customer, Chica.

We went to New Zealand and it was a dream come true!

I have a couple of countries that I have been dreaming to visit one day and New Zealand is one of those countries.  Of course, my wish to go to NZ starts from the movie The Lord of the Ring and the movie really was (and still now) boosts tourism of NZ, so much that they knighted Peter Jackson for his contribution towards his country.  I will also write about our trip on a separate post (if I am not again procrastinating).

We had our first wedding anniversary and 6 years anniversary since we’ve met.

I am grateful for me and my husband relationship every day of my life, and I pray that we can grow old together in a happy, loving, peaceful, loyal, and fruitful relationship for the rest of our life till death do us part.

Birthday!

I turned 32 this year and I am also grateful to have an amazing year blessed with health, happiness, prosperity, safety, peace at heart and mind, and a loving husband and supportive family.  I have many rooms for improvements but I will always to remember to love myself first and always be grateful for everything that I have.

My Husband’s first Ironman 70.3

We went to Bintan for my husband’s first half ironman.  It was an eye-opener for me (as a couch potato) that there are hundreds and hundreds of people who actually passionate about these kinds of competition where they put themselves in an extreme (for me) physical challenge. They trained themselves to prepare for this competition and prepare every little detail that can help them finished.  But it was fun (again for me) and not so fun for the contestant because to swim 1,9 KM, cycle 90 KM, and run 21.1 KM under direct sun with 32 degrees of Celcius in temperature was just exhausting.  I was really proud of him, it was his first half ironman and he finished it without doing proper training.

Well, I think those are some major things that were happening in our life during the last 10 months when I was MIA.  If I missed out on something I will update you in a next post (haha, who am I kidding).

I have to be honest with you, it is not easy to write this post.  There’s a Rupi Kaur interview with Emma Watson and she said something about Writing.  Basically, she said that it is ok to take your time and write “all the bad stuff” until you can create “the good stuff”.

I also read (somewhere)that writing is like a muscle and like any other muscle you have to train it in order for it to work.  So my kind reader, please bear with me during this time that I re-train again my writing muscle until I can write something interesting again.

I welcome any tips that you have about writing and to motivate yourself to do something that you have committed yourself to.

Cheers!
